How it works
A calm, clear process from first call to final walkthrough
An estate sale agent spends time inside your home, going through everything you've left there. Trust isn't a nice-to-have - it's essential. Here's how we earn it, step by step.
Your questions, answered up front
- How long does setup take? Many sales can be set up in a week, but we prefer about two - this is an important, often emotional event, and we don't rush it.
- What do you bring? Everything. Tables, tablecloths, pricing equipment, and signage are all provided by Aces.
- What happens to leftovers? We do everything we can to sell every item, but almost every sale has stragglers. You'll choose how to handle them - donation, charity pickup, or removal - before the sale begins.
- What's your goal? Three things: bring in as many customers as possible, sell as much as we can at a fair price, and leave you and our shoppers happy at the end of the day.

- We make it easy to move forward
Tips for a smoother downsizing sale
We run more downsizing sales than almost any other type. These four habits make the biggest difference.
TIP 01
Start early, not at the last minute
Give yourself a few weeks before the consultation. You'll feel calmer, and we can plan a sale that fits your timeline instead of rushing one.
TIP 02
Decide what's not for sale first
We'll ask what stays. The easiest way to show us is to mark items you're keeping with sticky notes or blue tape - whichever group is smaller.
TIP 03
A downside: too much, too fast
Many downsizing sales happen because a move is already underway. If items that won't be sold are already out of the home when we visit, it makes everything simpler.
TIP 04
Understand the contract
A downsizing sale uses a slightly different agreement than a full estate sale. We'll walk through it with you line by line so there are no surprises.
