Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about cost, fees, and value — before you ever pick up the phone.
Is there really no upfront cost?
Correct. There is no initial charge for an estate sale with Aces. The fee for setting up and conducting the sale comes out of the proceeds — so if the sale earns nothing, you owe nothing up front.
What does 'sliding scale' mean?
Our fee scales with the size and complexity of the sale — a small downsizing sale has a different fee than a full, three-story estate with specialty collections. We'll explain your exact fee during the free consultation, in writing.
What exactly is included in the fee?
Everything: evaluation, research, pricing, staging, staffing, advertising, checkout, and cleanup planning. There are no hidden add-ons — the price we quote is the price you get.
How much will my items sell for?
Pricing is market-based and designed to move items, not sit on them. We focus on total return for you — a busy, well-priced sale consistently outsells an overpriced one.
What happens to what doesn't sell?
We do our best to sell everything, but every sale has leftovers. We'll agree on a plan in advance: donation pickup, charity donation, or disposal — on your terms.
